Logan and I were up really late the other night and caught the beginning of Nova's "Absolute Zero" program. It goes through the science behind reaching the lowest possible temperature, which includes the history of ice importation via ships in 1805 from Massachusetts to the Caribbean.
It is kind of amazing to think that ice would stay cold for so long. Then I look outside and see mounds upon mounds of dirty ice piles, even though it is finally in the 40s! I'm not a huge fan of the hot, humid climes of Southeast Asia, but am still excitedly waiting the change from icy to ricey. What what!
