A few random notes after three months out.

Well we made it back from Hong Kong. There will be a full post on that shortly. I figured its about time I did a little house cleaning and up'ed some randoms from the past few months.

Around the corner from where we live is a charter bus depo. These mini vans basically take people up country, down country or even on shorter drives to neighboring towns. So while waiting for enough riders to fill their vans the drivers for the most part seem to live, breathe and sleep in their vans. This leads to some sweet and subtle customization of their personal vehicles.

Speaking of standing out in a crowd. H1N1 is all the rage over here and since almost every year or so another flu like pandemic seems to break out in the world people have decided why not keep yourself safe while still looking stylish. For a super cheap 10 Baht you can pick up one of these designer face masks from a vendor on the street.

Pens, Stationary and general writing stuff is so fun to shop for over hear. Besides your choices of all kinds of Japanese cartoon characters, the ever present Ben 10 (for the young boys) and assorted generic teddy bear graphics there are also pens of all shapes sizes and colors.

On a final note we went out for Pizza a few weeks back. We ate most of it without realizing that there was no tomato sauce on it. That's what the ketchup bottle on the table is for....who knew. Cheese is a big time craze with the younger generation over here, while most adults don't like it, since for the most part cheese isn't really a part of the traditional Thai diet.

Hawaiian pizza sans sauce! Next time we'll have to Heinz it up!
