Lumpini Park

Ok, I stole the above picture from my coworker's Facebook because I have tried to capture this exact creature digitally to no avail.

Lumpini Park is one of the largest parks in the city and very close to where we take Thai courses. I was taking a walking break through there one day and saw this dinosaur like thing poking out of some foliage. This morning they were talking about the lizards in the staffroom, and someone mentioned monitor lizards roam all around Lumpini Park. Apparently no one is afraid of them eating their babies or nibbling on their toes. I know it's hard to tell their size since there is not much in relation to Mr. Lizard, but rest assured, it is freakishly large and scary!
