SOOK YAWD!

During the holiday, we started interviewing people for our new website SOOK YAWD! "Sook yawd" is a phrase in Thai that means "the best," and it's something you hear Thai people using all the time. We actually found out we had translated it wrong phonetically (it should be "soot yawt" or "sood yawd") after we registered the domain, but we like the way SOOK YAWD sounds. Anyway, shout it out next time you're eating some Thai food, and I bet the staff will give you a chuckle.

For better or worse and for the time being, we are Thai, so we'd like to share with you some of the people we've met here that are working hard and making it happen against all the odds! Most of the interviews will be conducted in Thai and transcribed by us, which makes for good practice (and stress). P.S. You know this also gives me a good excuse to nose around in other people's homes! It's tough nuts living in a studio the last couple of years.
